We know allergens are serious business and we want you to feel 100% comfortable with our gluten-free claim. So, grab a cup of coffee and get comfy, it’s a bit of a long read!

For starters, our oat supplier is gluten-free certified, and our oats are grown under the Purity Protocol. It means that our oats come from pure and uncontaminated seeds grown on fields without wheat, rye or barley in the crop rotation for at least 3 years. They are seeded and harvested using dedicated machinery and transported using thoroughly cleaned equipment. The oats are then processed in a dedicated gluten-free facility and extensively tested for gluten contamination. Gluten presence must be below 5 ppm.

But we don’t stop there! At our plants, after we create our oat base, we test it for gluten before we start making our oat m*lk with it. The other great news is that we don’t have any ingredients containing gluten present at our plants. Yet, we regularly test our finished oat m*lk for gluten to ensure we are meeting our own company standard of 5 parts per million, which is waaaay lower than CFIA’s requirement to be labeled gluten-free (up to 20 parts per million). Yup, it's pretty legit!

If you have celiac disease, Health Canada has some super helpful resources on what celiac safe means. Chatting with your doctor to ensure our oat m*lk is the right fit for you may also be a good idea!
