Oats are naturally high in carbohydrates which contain starch and some sugars. We use natural enzymes to break down the whole oat, which means we get a creamy (and oh-so tasty) liquid instead of a thick, oatmeal like substance. During this process, the natural long chain carbohydrates are “cut” into smaller chain carbohydrates which is actually sugar. Long story short, we don’t add sugar into our Oat Original but it is naturally produced from our processing.

If you're looking for the perfect match with zero sugar, look no further than our Oat Zero Sugar or our Unsweetened Original Almond M*lk 🎉
