Why is there less protein in your Oat Zero Sugar than your Oat Original?
Great question! For our Oat Original, we use whole grain oats that are mixed with natural enzymes to break down the starch so they can become a smooth n' creamy concentrated extract. During this process, we try to use as much of the original oat goodness as possible (think protein, think fiber, think nutrients!).
With our Oat Zero Sugar, we use gluten-free oat flour instead, so the production process and the nutritional structure are different, resulting in less protein. This product was made with our low-calorie, low-sugar community in mind, as we'd heard from our fans it was something they were looking for!
