Listeria is a foodborne bacterial illness. It is possible that food manufacturing facilities can spread the bacteria if contaminated water or contaminated ingredients are used. It can be a very serious concern for pregnant women, people older than 65 and people with weakened immune systems.

This is why at Earth’s Own; we take all precautions to protect our community and ensure food safety protocols are being held. Quality is always our top priority, and our production facilities work towards the highest standards of food safety and product quality, with a specific focus on preventing Listeria contamination.

Our safety protocols include health risk assessments, environmental sampling to verify the plant’s hygiene, regular employee training and product reviews.

After producing each batch, our team also tests the final product against several different safety protocols to ensure they are safe and ready to be released for public consumption. If Quality Assurance is not satisfied with the results, the entire batch is discarded.

By maintaining these rigorous standards and continually improving our protocols, we strive to provide the safest and highest quality products to our community.
